General information

The NKUA Library and Information Centre e-Publishing Information System (or e-Pub for short), hosts scientific journals in digital form, for which either the NKUA (or one if its units) is responsible for publishing and holds the copyright, or there has been a copyright clearance for their electronic presence in the system. Additionally, journals that are no longer published may be included in the system for reasons of historical completeness and importance.

Each of the journals hosted on the platform must have its own editorial team, which will be responsible for the content of the posts/publications/articles, as well as for the editing and management tasks according to the appropriate processes and workflows. The staff of the Library and Information Centre Directorate will provide technical consulting and assistance but they will not be involved in the management and editing processes of the hosted journals and they will not be held accountable for their content.

If you are interested in participating in the e-Pub system, you have to submit a formal request (DOCX document in Greek) to the Library and Information Centre Directorate.

However, please inform us at ykb (at) lib.uoa.gr if you are harvesting the website data.

Historical data

2025-

The current form of this electronic journal publishing system (e-Pub) is based on the Open Journal system (OJS) software,  version 3.x and was carried out following parameterization and migration works from the older 2.x version in collaboration with Dataly Tech. 

2015-2025

Takes place the creation and production operation of the electronic journal publishing system platform (e-Pub)  based on the Open Journal system (OJS), version 2.x, software. 

Implementation of this e-publishing site, as well as the retrospective digitization and metadata records creation of the jounrlas "Ηθική", "Παρουσία" and "Επιστημονική Επετηρίς της Φιλοσοφικής Σχολής", took place in the project titled "Development of a uniform digital repository platform and related electronic information and content promotion services, for the library of NKUA" (MIS 304160), under the NSRF 2007-2013, co-financed by Greece and the European Union.
