Περίληψη
The purpose of this paper is to examine the legacy of Thanos Mikroutsikos, one of the leading composers of Greek contemporary music. He created appropriate musical forms to express the voices of Vladimir Mayakovsky, Bertold Brecht, Nâzım Hikmet, Giannis Ritos, Manos Eleutheriou, amongst others. Mikroutsikos’s legacy is examined in the light of the aesthetics of resistance. This form of aesthetics refers to the art that resists oppression and encourages the development of active subjects, oriented towards social transformation.
